edeXa Investor & Community Update - September 2026
September was an evaluation month. The focus was on assessing practical enterprise applications for edeXa and using community feedback to decide which use cases deserve deeper technical exploration. Progress was real, but it was not uniform, and this update reports both sides.
Community use case: chocolate supply chain
Through community voting, supply-chain verification for chocolate manufacturers was selected as the next use case to explore. The objective is to examine how edeXa could provide an independent verification layer across a supply chain that already exists.
An important part of the approach is integration with legacy systems rather than replacing them. Existing ERP systems, databases and internal workflows remain in place. Relevant events or records are processed through connectors and anchored to edeXa, creating an independently verifiable record without requiring the underlying business infrastructure to be rebuilt.
The use case lets us test practical questions around data integrity, traceability, verification and integration effort under realistic conditions.

Rethinking privacy for enterprises
Enterprise adoption requires a different approach to blockchain transparency. Businesses frequently need to prove information without publicly exposing the underlying information.
We are therefore continuing to evaluate technologies and architectures around hashing, selective disclosure and zero-knowledge proofs. The principle is straightforward: keep sensitive business data inside the appropriate enterprise systems, while making selected facts independently verifiable.
This remains an area for further technical and commercial evaluation rather than a single one-size-fits-all solution.
Integration with existing infrastructure
Our connector strategy remains central. Enterprise adoption is unlikely to come from replacing established ERP, database or document-management environments. The objective is to connect those systems to a verification layer where it delivers measurable value.
This includes continued work around document authenticity, data integrity and business verification.
EDX gas and gasless transactions
A question we increasingly hear from the community and from investors: how can edeXa offer gasless transactions on a public mainnet if transactions normally require gas?
The answer is that gasless does not mean the network transaction is free. The underlying blockchain still requires a transaction fee. In a gasless architecture, that fee is handled by infrastructure operated by the application or service provider, typically through a relayer or paymaster model. From the end user's perspective, the blockchain fee is abstracted away.
There are two models:
- EDX gas. The user or application pays the network fee directly in EDX.
- Gasless. The application sponsors or manages the network fee through relayer and paymaster infrastructure.
This means edeXa can support both direct blockchain interaction and a Web2-style user experience without changing the underlying public network. The distinction matters:
Gasless is not the absence of network cost. Gasless means the user does not have to handle the network cost directly.
What is progressing
The current work is helping us narrow the areas where edeXa may provide practical value:
- Supply-chain verification
- Document authenticity
- Data integrity
- Enterprise privacy
- Digital identity
- Integration with existing business systems
- Gasless enterprise transaction flows
Community input is useful in this process because it adds perspectives on where the technology should be tested first.
What remains unresolved
Progress is not uniform across all initiatives.
The Swiss eID and digital identity integration remains on hold, although the majority of our technical testing has already been completed. Further progress depends on the next steps and external conditions surrounding the Swiss eID environment.
Other infrastructure and product initiatives also remain under evaluation or require further prioritisation. Not every use case we investigate will become a product or a commercial offering, and we prefer to state that clearly rather than present every experiment as a roadmap commitment.
Looking ahead
Our focus remains on evaluating where edeXa can provide a useful verification layer for existing business processes. Rather than assuming that every blockchain use case is valuable, we continue to test specific applications, assess technical feasibility, understand integration requirements and learn from the results.
The objective is straightforward: identify where independent verification provides measurable value, and build around those use cases.
